Spyware vs. Anti-Spyware

Who is spying on you?  Chances are good someone on the 'Net knows something about you that you don't know they know and don't want them to know.  Once your computer's security has been violated, the possibliity that your personal information has been seen increases greatly.

And once the information is out there ... you cannot get it back.

Spyware is software that runs on your computer and sends your information to another computer.  Of course, Anti-spyware is software that runs on your computer to prevent spyware from doing its dirty deed.

The reason spyware exists is simple.  Some person or company wants to benefit by knowing things about you.  It may be something as obviously dangerous to your financial health as knowing your credit card information or bank account numbers.  Or it may be something more subtle.  It could be as innocuous as knowing that you buy blue towels from an online store.

In the case of a pilfered bank account number, the reason is clear.  The person may want to remove funds from your account.  The blue towels, though?  What's that about?  Simple.  If I sell bathroom accessories and I know you buy blue towels, what color do you think the accessories will be when you visit my online store?  Blue, of course!

Protect Your Computer with Anti-Spyware

Because no anti-spyware software is perfect, poroshkovye-kraski.ru recommends that you install and use several different anti-spyware programs on your computer.  What one product misses, another may nab.  And unlike antivirus software, anti-spyware products typically do not require that only one be installed.

These anti-spyware products are available for free:

Is Your Anti-Spyware Really Spyware?

Finally, in case you think all anti-spyware products are on the up-and-up, the Spyware Warrior web site lists Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products and web sites.  In addition, the Spyware Warrior site provides a list of Trustworthy Anti-Spyware Products, too.

Why would Anti-spyware be spyware?  What better way to get spyware installed on a victim's computer than to convince people that your spyware is anti-spyware.  Remember, it's a wild, wicked web!
